Huawei has just announced the release of its new Huawei Mate Book X Pro 2021. The laptop retains the lines of previous models and the commitment to 3:2 screens with reduced frames, with the main novelty being the use of 11th generation Intel Core processors.

The device can be purchased in the classic gray color and, for the first time in Spain, in emerald green. It is available from now on in the official Huawei store for a price that starts at 1,899 euros. Once the presentations are made, let’s get to know him a little better.

1.33 kilos and 3K screen

The new Huawei MateBook X Pro 2021 has a polished metal body that is 14.6 millimeters thick and weighs 1.33 kilograms, so it should be relatively easy to transport. The lack of USB-A ports, in favor of two USB Type-C ports and a 3.5-millimeter connector for headphones and microphone, is notable. However, a hub with HDMI, USB-C, VGA, and USB 2.0 is included in the box.

Scattered around the chassis we have four speakers and two microphones with AEC (to improve voice quality in video calls). Unsurprisingly, Huawei has implemented a fingerprint sensor on the power button and the camera on the keyboard itself. That way, the webcam will be hidden at all times until the user deploys it manually.

The Huawei MateBook X Pro features a 13.9-inch LTPS touch panel with 10 pressure points, a 3: 2 format, and a 3K resolution (3,000 x 2,000 pixels), translating to 260 pixels per inch. According to Huawei, the screen takes up 91 percent of the front, has a maximum brightness of 450 nits, a field of view of 178 degrees, and reproduces 100 percent of the sRGB color gamut.

Firm bet on Intel

Huawei MateBook X Pro 2021

Under the hood of the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2021, we find 16 GB of 4,266 MHz LPDDR4x RAM, 512 GB or 1 TB of NVMe PCIe SSD storage, and 11th generation Intel Core processors (i5 and i7, to be exact). The graphics, of course, is the Intel iris Xe. Intel and only Intel, no option to AMD processors.

Windows 10 Home brings all of this to life , which comes packed with some of Huawei’s own functions, such as Huawei Share (multi-screen collaboration with Huawei mobiles) and a screen capture system using gestures, and a 56 Wh battery . According to Huawei, this is enough to offer up to 10 hours of local video playback. The charger is 65W.
