After the leaks that showed the evolution of the OPPO Watch, it was time to officially discover the device: the OPPO Watch 2 was presented in the brand’s country, China. It is a smartwatch that maintains the Apple Watch look by incorporating a Snapdragon Wear 4100, an eSIM option, and up to 10 days of autonomy in basic mode.

The first OPPO Watch landed around the world as an attractive smartwatch, with excellent construction, and with Wear OS as the basis for the operating system. The Snapdragon Wear 4100 makes a difference in the OPPO Watch 2

The brand has evolved its range of smartwatches keeping the identity of the first model to evolve at the hardware level. On the outside it offers the usual Apple Watch look without the crown (in exchange for two side buttons), it has aluminum for the watch case and it offers two different sizes: 42 mm and 46 mm.

The OPPO Watch 2 mounts a Snapdragon Wear 4100 as the heart of silicon, an SoC that has proven to be as powerful as consumer content (at least compared to the previous generation of Qualcomm). Along with the SoC, the new smartwatch offers 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage; with a renewed layer of software: ColorOS Watch 2. We do not know if it will keep Wear OS as a base, although it will surely offer it when the OPPO Watch jumps onto the international market.

In terms of sensors, our protagonist has accelerometers and a gyroscope, offers heart rate and SpO2, and includes a lighting sensor, compass, and atmospheric pressure. The OPPO Watch 2 can record activity, sleep, and stress and measure more than 100 sports practices. And precisely, the device integrates satellite positioning.

The battery has a higher capacity compared to the predecessor model: the OPPO Watch 2 has 360 mAh . The brand includes fast charging (with 15 minutes of charging the watch should last a day), it offers an autonomy of 10 days with basic use and 2.5 days with “normal” use. In models with eSIM 4G, autonomy drops to 1.5 days, always according to OPPO figures.

The watch has been presented in China and for now, it will stay there (we will surely see it in Europe soon). It can be purchased from today in the Asian country at the following prices:

  • OPPO Watch 2 42 mm WiFi: 169.63 euros to change (1,299 yuan).
  • OPPO Watch 2 42 mm 4G: 195.74 euros to change (1,499 yuan).
  • OPPO Watch 2 46 mm 4G: 261 euros to change (1,999 yuan).
