Realme has finally revealed its new bet for the mid-range of 2021. After the presentation of the Realme 8 Pro, the Asian firm has presented the rest of the terminals that make up the Realme 8 series, with a model with the same name and another with connectivity 5G. The first model was initially presented in March, although at launch it was aimed at the Indian public.
Today, the brand confirms the availability of both models in our country and in the rest of the countries the company operates worldwide.

A Similar Design That Bets On Two Very Different Screen.
That’s how it is. In fact, both the Realme 8 and the 5G version adopt the design lines of the Realme 8 Pro. The biggest difference is found in the dimensions, which in this case are conditioned by the diagonal of the screen (6.4 inches in the Realme 8 and 6.52 on the Realme 8 5G). The other big difference is found precisely on the screen.
If we focus on the first of the models, the device has a Super AMOLED panel with? Full HD + resolution and a standard refresh rate of 60 Hz. The peak brightness level reached by the panel is 1,000 nits and has a fingerprint sensor under the screen . As for the Realme 8 5G, the phone inherits the resolution of the panel but opts for an IPS technology that also reduces the peak level of brightness to 600 nits.
Another no less important difference has to do with the refresh rate, which reaches 90 Hz and 180 Hz of touch sampling . By the very nature of the panel, the fingerprint sensor is located on one of the sides, acting as the Power button.
MediaTek For The Two Models With Connectivity As A Different Point.
On this occasion, the Asian firm has opted for Mediatek in its two exponents; specifically the Mediatek Helio G95 and the Dimensity 700 . The biggest difference between the two chips is precisely based on connectivity, since the second has 5G connectivity compatible with SA and NSA networks. Both processors are accompanied by 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage and 8 GB of RAM.
As for the rest of the specifications, the truth is that the differences are practically negligible: Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band WiFi, NFC for mobile payments … The same 5,000 mAh battery is the one that we find in the two devices, although in the case of the Realme 8 the fast charge amounts to 30 W compared to 18 W of the model with 5G.
Photographic Section With Differences Between Models
Replicating the photographic configuration of other models of the company, Realme has opted for three and four sensors on the Realme 8 and 8 5G. The first one has four 64, 8, 2, and 2-megapixel sensors with a configuration somewhat different from what manufacturers are accustomed to the main sensor, wide-angle, macro, and a monochrome sensor.
A similar configuration is found in the Realme 8 5G, although in this case the company has gotten rid of the 8-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle lens. The main sensor, on the other hand, now has 48 megapixels, although the company has not specified the exact model in either case.
As for the front camera, here the Realme bet goes from the 16 megapixels of the Realme 8 to the 8 of the Realme 8 5G. The good news is that both have facial unlocking, although yes, through software.
Price And Availability Of The Realme 8 and 8 5G
The company has just confirmed that the two terminals will be available from April 30 for a starting price of 200 and 250 euros.
