From mobiles to TVs, and from there to laptops. Redmi continues to expand its product catalog and has just launched its new laptop, the RedmiBook Pro.

These mid-range machines have 15.6 “displays and 11th generation Intel Core processors, and they pose a balanced bet with a notable note: their price.

Where are my USB-C ports?

The design of this equipment already makes it clear that we are facing a mid-range laptop that can be a good option for workers and students who do not need maximum portability or maximum performance.

In fact, the 15.6 “device has a weight of 1.8 kg, and that without, for example, the battery (46 Whr) being particularly bulky. The 19.9 mm thickness is another clear sign that the RedmiBook Pro is by no means an Ultrabook to use.

That thickness however has an advantage: there is a good selection of ports in which the two USB-A ports with USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface stand out as well as an SD card reader or a full-size HDMI 1.4 port.

The keyboard uses a scissor mechanism and the keys have a 1.5 mm travel, and the touchpad supports all Windows 10 gestures. At the top, we have a 720p webcam for video conferencing, while the audio is covered thanks to two 2W speakers with DTS support.

Along with the RedmiBook Pro, the firm has also launched a RedmiBook Pro e-Learning Edition, a special edition aimed at the educational environment. It is somewhat more modest and integrates a Core i3-1154G4, 8 GB of RAM, and 256 GB in a SATA SSD drive (and not M.2 NVMe as in the normal edition), although it also has the option to add a 512 SSD drive GB M.2 NVMe.

Price and availability of the RedmiBook Pro

The new RedmiBook Pro will be available in India from next August 6 in the Xiaomi online store, in the physical stores of Xiaomi, and on Flipkart.

The price of this equipment is 49,990 rupees, which is about 566 euros. The educational edition is priced at Rs 41,999 (€ 475) with the SATA drive and Rs 44,999 (€ 509) with the M.2 drive.
